Position requires a passionate and responsible individual who can effectively articulate and promote the direction and purpose of organization. The successful candidate will engage the statewide recovery community and will lead the organization in delivering essential community-provided recovery services and support. The Executive Director will be accountable for engaging local, state and federal participants for resource expansion as well as obtaining alternative funding sources, including but not limited to private sector service, Insurance and Workplace Initiative contracts.

A proven manager that leads staff team with accountability and focus on organizations mission.

Communicates organizational goals effectively and maintains a respectful, professional demeanor when communicating internally and externally.
Ability to develop plans and implementation strategies for income streams through programs, philanthropy and grantmaking.
Relationship Developer:
Invests in internal and external relationships that are sustainable over time.
Encourages strong relationship building among all stakeholders to form effective and respectful relationships.
Communicates with strength and clarity.
Actively networks with potential strategic partner organizations and individuals.
Creates a collaborative environment across the organization.

Job Requirements
Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of successful related working experience with progressively growing responsibility.
Minimum of 5 years of proven outcomes in leading, building and/or sustaining nonprofit organization(s).
Demonstrated competency working with and for a Board of Directors.

Skills & Knowledge:
Proven track record as a strategic thinker, planner and visionary leader.
Familiarity and involvement with Authentic peer recovery support, mutual-aid recovery networks or other similar networks.
Strong understanding of substance use disorders and recovery community center models, particularly with the type of peer support and non-clinical recovery support services that the organization provides.
Experience in developing a diverse range of fundraising opportunities with proven results.
Demonstrated and verified fiduciary, organizational and volunteer management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience and success working with a Board of Directors.
Knowledge of the legislative process and advocacy strategies.
Sense of passion, integrity; mission-driven and self-directed.
